We cut this girls jacket from thick polar fleece to sit on our warmest rung. A full front zipper pulls straight up through the stand collar, backed by a contrast inner trim. Two deep front pockets give cold hands a place to rest.

On our ladder this one is Warmest. The top of the ladder: plush, sherpa and fleece.

What it is made of

Polar fleece build: The fleece holds heat well across chilly mornings. It is brushed on both sides for a soft surface that stays smooth against long sleeve tees and pajama tops without adding stiff bulk.
Zipper and collar: A sturdy front zipper runs from hem to chin for quick layering. The stand collar stays upright when zipped, and we lined the inner edge with contrast color block trim for a clean finish.
Front hand pockets: We stitched two open patch pockets directly onto the front panels. They sit at a natural resting angle for hands and hold small everyday items without pulling the front hem out of shape.
Wash and care: The polyester fleece holds its shape and color through regular trips through the washer and dryer. Tumble dry on low to keep the fleece loft thick and prevent static build up.
