Eight things people ask, answered at the length they deserve.
- What does a rung actually mean?
- It is a statement about the cloth. We read the fabric specification for each piece and place it on one of four steps: Light for jersey, modal and satin, Midweight for flannel and french terry, Warm for thermal and waffle knits, Warmest for plush, sherpa and fleece. It says nothing about how you personally sleep, which is why the picker asks about that separately.
- Why are the rungs such different sizes?
- Because the catalogue is. 143 pieces are Light and 15 are Midweight, and evening those out would have meant moving pieces for the sake of a chart. A rung that can be adjusted to look neat is a rung that describes our filing rather than the fabric.
- Some pieces have no rung at all. Why?
- Seven of them carry no fabric detail we can read with any confidence. They appear on their shelf and never in a warmth filter. Guessing would have hidden the gap and made seven entries quietly wrong.
- Which size do I take?
- Use the chart rather than the letter. Lay flat something that already fits you the way you want this to fit, measure across the chest from seam to seam, double it, and find the closest row. Letter sizes across this catalogue are written fifteen different ways for eight actual sizes, so the letter is the least reliable thing on the page.
- Do all the pieces have a chart?
- 240 of 286 do. Where the maker publishes no measurements we leave the table out instead of inventing one, and in that case the listing itself is the best source.
- The same piece appears in several colors. Are they different items?
- Usually they are one design offered in several colorways, and they share a rating and a rating count because the marketplace counts them together. We show them as separate cards so you can see the color, and we link the family from each card so you can see the rest.
- Who takes the payment and sends the parcel?
- A large retail marketplace. Every button here goes to the listing there, and the basket, the card, the delivery and the returns window all sit on their side. We make the clothes and sort them; we do not run a till.
- Can you check where my order is?
- No, and we would be inventing an answer if we tried. Order status lives in your account at the marketplace. Anything about the garment itself, though, we can answer properly.
